Dr. Rasha Waheed
Dr. Rasha Waheed is a board-certified neurologist and epileptologist and currently serves as Section Chief of the Neuro-Immunology Program at William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She specializes in inpatient general neurology and provides comprehensive outpatient care for patients with multiple sclerosis and other neuro-immunologic disorders, with a strong emphasis on coordinated, long-term patient-centered care.

•Medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad in IRAQ
•Neurology Residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
•Pediatric Epilepsy Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit Medical Center, Wayne State University School of Medicine.
•Neuroimmunology and Neuroinfectious Disease Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center.
•Board-certified Neurologist, Epileptologist and Neuroimmunologist

Dr. Waheed earned her medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, followed by neurology residency training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical
School. She completed advanced fellowship training in pediatric epilepsy at Children’s Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University and in neuroimmunology and neuroinfectious diseases at Rush University Medical Center.
In addition to her clinical and academic leadership, Dr. Waheed is deeply committed to advancing healthcare education, mentorship, and advocacy within the Chaldean American community. She brings a strong understanding of the unique cultural, medical, and professional challenges faced by Chaldean health professionals and patients alike. Through service on the CAAHP Board, she seeks to support professional development, promote health equity, foster collaboration among healthcare professionals, and strengthen the organization’s mission of community engagement and excellence in care.
Dr. Waheed’s experience in multidisciplinary leadership, academic medicine, and community service positions her to make meaningful contributions to the strategic growth and impact of the Chaldean American Association for Health Professionals.
